"Consistency is key!" -Alexandria
Hey! My name is Alexandria Dodgen and I am the owner and Head Trainer here at C3 Kennels. Training has been my passion for as long as I can remember! Working with various trainers was essential to my growth and I spent a lot of time attending clinics and training seminars. During college, I had the privilege to ride under a great coach and compete in Horsemanship and Reining. Being coachable is essential for success in all areas of life.
A few years ago, I had to have a back surgery that put me out of the horse-training business. That is when God opened a door for me in the dog industry that I never saw coming. Having the kennels has allowed us to provide more opportunities to the community. I am very grateful that I can now share this passion with so many others. I believe in the foundations of training that C3 is built on; communication that is clear, consistent, & concise.
I personally own multiple Border Collies and compete in cattle dog trials all over the U.S. You will see me training stock dogs in a fast paced/high stakes working role where seconds matter and a delay in taking a command has big consequences. I tailor my training to the dog in front of me - whether it's a high drive dog or a pet that hangs out with the family, I adapt my training style to meet the dog where they are. Although there are differences in the obedience training we do on pets vs a working dog the fundamentals of training are the same. It absolutely amazes me what our dogs are capable of! It is my goal to continue to learn and become a better trainer every single day.
